When it comes to dressing for different seasons, winter has historically been my least favorite. Winter fashion can feel clunky and hard to master, but I’ve decided that this year, I’ll be embracing the cold weather and enjoying the things that we only get to wear during the chillier months. From now until spring, I’ll be leaning into big, chunky knits, fun accessories, layering pieces, chic coats, trendy boots, and more.
Every time a new season comes around, I make a wish list of fashion pieces that I might want based on things I’ve seen while online shopping or scrolling social media. The list allows me to think about what I really need and shop more intentionally, rather than making impulse purchases in the moment. If I’m still thinking about something on my list a few weeks later, I consider it something that might be worth investing in; if I revisit the list and have already forgotten about something, I know that I can skip it for the season.
In addition to saving money in that way, I try to keep my trendier wardrobe additions in the under-$100 range. This allows me to mix up my wardrobe each season without spending a fortune. Keep reading for the 18 under-$100 winter fashion pieces that have earned a coveted spot on my wish list this season.
This simple Old Navy tee is my versatile best friend this winter. It’s the perfect layering piece to stick under sweaters on super cold days, but also looks great on its own under a jacket or vest.

Something my wardrobe is lacking? Going-out tops that are appropriate for winter. I’m obsessed with the asymmetrical neckline on this one. I can already picture it paired with jeans and pointed-toe booties for a night out with the girls.

I will sing the praises of Abercrombie Curve Love jeans until my last breath (seriously, no pair has fit me as well or made me feel as confident). I tried the ’90s Relaxed style this summer and fell in love, so a darker wash is on the top of my wish list for winter.

I’m long overdue for a tights upgrade, especially with the resurgence of the Gossip Girl-esque mini skirt, tights, and knee-high boots combo. So when I discovered that these rip-resistant tights from Sheertex are made to last 10x longer than traditional tights, I knew they were worth the investment. My days of single-use tights are about to be a thing of the past.
