Anyone else obsessed with vintage Christmas ornaments? I already own more than I need for my pink tree thanks to my local thrift shops and holiday markets, but I can’t help but comb my favorite Etsy shops for new-old-finds each year. I’ve saved what feels like a zillion Etsy Christmas ornaments and decor the past few weeks, and thought it would be fun to share them with those on the hunt for festive and sustainable adornments of their own! Nothing like scoring a set in its original box, right? These 12 are from FireflyVintageHome.

An incredible set of rainbow vintage ornaments by VintageGlassDecors. This shop sells them individually so you choose your style before adding to cart. It would be pricey to snag a whole collection, but wouldn’t it be spectacular?!

Christmas Tree Top Glass Ornaments via OldBox (sold individually)

Such cute cottagecore vibes here with this pink set from ChosenKindVintage. Unlike a lot of the shops listed here, this one doesn’t just specialize in holidays. They offer beautifully curated vintage decor and goodies year-round! Lots of pale pinks, colored glass, and brass for those who are into that sort of thing (me! me!).

Few things on the internet bring me joy like my Etsy favorites list does. Etsy is kind of like Pinterest for me, a place for endless inspiration. I save all my gift ideas for loved ones there, and of course, I always have my own wishlist going, featuring everything from home goods to clothing and so much more. It’s my happy place. (Sponsor us, please!) I think all of these products and the designers behind them are so special and make such good Etsy gifts that I wanted to dedicate a post to them today! Some of them are things I simply love, some are pieces I’ve gifted, and some are gifts I’ve given to myself and just adore.

I own (and love) this bag from AlexBender, who makes accessories with leftover leather from Italian tanneries. I think anything in this shop would make a gorgeous gift, but I especially love this flat mint leather bag and this lilac backpack.

Do you like the detachable collar trend? I think it’s a fun way to dress up crewnecks. This embroidered statement detachable collar by noemiah has beautiful detail.

These fun sequin embroidered velvet bows from Party with Ava make the cutest small Etsy gifts! They’re perfect if you just need a little something, or if you want to dress up your already-wrapped gifts with a bow that doubles as an accessory (I love embellishing gift wrap with pieces they can actually reuse). Obviously these make for darling little girls gifts but I know a certain mid-thirties gal who would rock them just the same…

Lastly, like I said, OffOn is one of my favorite shops. Another coveted piece is this mustard cord suit.

I love DIY. Around this time each year, you can find me crafting Christmas ornaments, festive garlands, or cute gift toppers to embellish my gift wrap. But by now I know my limits when it comes to crafting. There are some things I just don’t have the skill (or patience to acquire the skill) for. And I learned long ago that working with felt was one of them, despite my love of it. So these cute handmade felt ornaments, all by different artists mostly on Etsy, are on the top of my list should I find space on my tree this year.

I came across these felt bird ornaments by Savana Lawler Textiles when searching for something else, which kicked off too much time spent searching for felt pretties!

18 Beautiful Ethically Made & Fair Trade Rugs

Window shopping fair trade rugs is one of my favorite ways to waste time on the internet. (We all have our own, right?) Since my apartment already has all the rugs it can hold, guides like this give me an outlet for my ethically made finds! I don’t think there’s any reason to buy a rug that isn’t fairly and consciously produced in 2022. While some of these are on the higher end, you can at the very least find incredible vintage rugs from small businesses on Etsy, or while perusing your local OfferUp, Craigslist, or thrift stores. Boundless gems await!

If you’re looking to refresh your home this year, and I wouldn’t blame you with all of the time spent inside at the moment, a new rug is the perfect place to start. It can anchor your whole design and make a room look brand new. Below, find my current favorites–mostly colorful and intricate, and all produced ethically.

Morrow rugs are subtle yet stunning, like this Amari Mini in an almost neutral, dusty pink. And if you’re looking for a runner, I’m currently obsessing over this creamy beauty. Find more neutral home goods here!

Archive New York’s Zapotec checkered rug is perfectly on trend with its check pattern and pop of pink.

Love me a lush rug in a color scheme I’d never have thought of on my own, like in Sister Golden’s vintage Moroccan rug collection.

MINNA’s Dream Rug Bright, made in Guatemala, makes a pretty wall hanging if you’re like me with no more floor space to spare!

The Rug Company is a leader in providing fair trade rugs in bespoke colors, sizes, and designs. Their online selection is pretty overwhelming, so I like to peruse their Insta for inspiration.

Eco club member Will & Atlas offers 100% jute rugs in beautiful organic designs. Jute is one of the world’s most sustainable fibers, and works indoors and out!

Lovers of pinks, pastels, and all things bright will fall in love with the selection of authentic Moroccan rugs at Baba Souk out of Canada.

Another favorite from Archive is the Teo Zapotec Rug (available at Made Trade), which comes in a runner too. Can’t you see it adorning the floors of a dreamy Airbnb in Joshua Tree?

Colombia based Zuahaza, maker of throws, pillows, and other home goods, also offers ethically made rugs woven with sustainable natural fibers like fique. We snapped the first photo during a content shoot last year.

One of my favorite shops for rugs, Loom & Field, sells colorful shag rugs in patterns you don’t see anywhere else. They offer both vintage and contemporary handmade by their artisan partners.

Okay, I know I’ve posted about Here & There Collective before, but they have such fun colorful patterns and yin-yang designs on cozy made-to-order rugs. You won’t welcome a single guest into your home that has one like it, I’m sure!

Loomy (who offers free US shopping) has this colorful Off Balance rug among their choices of consciously crafted rugs. Each of the listings on their site will tell you about its sustainability features, such as origin and recycled materials. When I shop Loomy, I head straight to their multi colored rug collection!

Soukie Modern offers custom handcrafted Moroccan rugs, like this Beni M’rirt Rug to your specifications. They also have incredible wedding blankets, home decor, and more!

Loloi is known for partnering with incredible designers like Rifle Paper Co and Justina Blakeney on their handmade rugs. The pink wave design is so dang good (sadly since discontinued). I regret not investing in this one!

St Frank is on the higher end, but oh my goodness they curate the most beautiful rug and textile collections! I especially love their cactus silk rugs. I mean how could one even choose?

Inspired by travel and nature, the Far From Home Rug by Mini Knots at Goodee is handcrafted in Turkey on traditional looms.

You know how much I love Etsy for vintage and custom rugs. You always want to read a shop’s bio and policies, and ask the seller any questions you have in order to ensure it is produced fairly and sustainably, and going to meet your needs. Etsy is also powered by 100% renewable energy and offsets carbon emissions, which is good to know if you’re considering an international purchase. These striped Beni Ourain runners can be made in just about any color… I repeat, any color!

One of my biggest dreams in life is to have an expansive collection of entirely handmade mugs. I’m only exaggerating slightly. Don’t get me wrong, I actually like my current mix of sassy vintage and souvenir gift shop mugs with the occasional handmade beauty sprinkled in. Lately my explore feed has been covered in beautiful ceramics, from handmade planters and vases to tableware and more. Ceramics are fascinating to me and one of the prettiest forms of functional art. I tried wheel throwing once in high school and as a DIY lover, it’s pretty safe to say this is one craft I’ll leave to the pros.
