If there’s one thing that all the girlies can collectively swoon over, it’s a drool-worthy fictional man expertly written by a woman. Sarah J. Maas. I’ve been a fantasy-lover since pre-tweenhood so when I discovered her hit series A Court of Thorns and Roses as an adult in 2021, I was utterly captivated. Sexy fairies and mind-blowing plot twists? Absolutely, yes. I read the whole series in a month and immediately moved on to her other two, Crescent City and Throne of Glass.

Even if you haven’t read her whole lineup, consider Sarah J. Maas to be the most sought-after fantasy book dealer and ACOTAR as your gateway drug. Trust us, you won’t be able to stop once you start. Each series features lovable characters that you’ll happily go to hell and back for. Especially SJM’s three leading ladies: Feyre, Aelin, and Bryce. You easily find yourself relating to Feyre’s compassion, Bryce’s spunk, Aelin’s determination—and really any of her delightful supporting characters. There’s enough personality in these books to keep you laughing (or sobbing) for days. Read on to find out which Sarah J. Maas character you’re most like based on your zodiac sign:

Aelin, AKA, Fireheart. She is an Aries through and through—ruled by her fire. She’s independent to a fault and insists on carrying the entire world on her shoulders, especially if it means she’ll keep her loved ones safe. She’s bold and fearless in everything she does, whether that’s in battle or in love. If you need someone to lead the charge and speak her mind at all times, Aelin is your gal.

Nesta’s stubbornness was so potent that it required its own book to overcome. Classic Taurus. Throughout her growth journey, we see Nesta find solace in the House of Wind like the true homebody Taurus she is. She’s captivated by the house’s comforts and luxuries—and its grand collection of smut books. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and seduction, so naturally Nesta’s sensuality is a large part of her identity (which we all thoroughly enjoyed in A Court of Silver Flames).

It would be too easy to say that Danika fits the stereotype of a “two-faced Gemini.” While she does have more secrets than Gretchen’s hair (IYKYK), Danika is just a multi-dimensional character with countless interests (very air sign of her). Geminis are fearless and innovative thinkers, which is exactly how Danika was able to covertly incite change within her friend group and her world.

Elain is a nurturing Cancer who prefers to keep the peace—until pushed past her limits. She’s happiest surrounded by the safety and familiarity of her plants. Cancers are the empaths of the zodiac, which totally makes sense since Elain is hyper-sensitive to everyone’s emotions. Her big heart is both her weakness and her superpower.

A Leo’s confidence is something to be admired, and Bryce has no issues being the subject of anyone’s admiration. As the lion of the zodiac, Bryce is a natural-born leader and she does it with flair. Her loyalty to her friends is admirable, although sometimes a bit perplexing. But leave it to a Leo to stand firm in their convictions no matter what.

There’s no one more reliable and steadfast in a storm than a Virgo. Rowan has the ability to ground everyone around him, especially a certain hotheaded blonde. Although he’s prone to snap judgments (a Virgo’s analytical mind can’t help itself), his kindness and patience always win out.

Libras want to keep the good times rolling, which is exactly Ruhn’s vibe from the moment we meet him. Even when he is hesitant to start conflict, his idealism pushes him to do what’s right. Ruhn is a tortured soul just craving connection—an inspiration to all the hopeless romantic Libras out there.

There you are.” Oof. Rhysand is darkness and mystery personified. Scorpios get a bad rap for being controlling and manipulative, but truthfully they just know how to use their charm effectively. It’s only natural that the most beautiful man in Prythian has that magnetic quality that Scorpios are known for. His ambition and passion go hand and hand—we all know the lengths he’d go to protect the people he loves.

Cassian is the life of the party but when you dig a little deeper, you’ll find a wealth of Sagittarian wisdom you maybe didn’t expect. He’s often the bright spot in everyone’s day and his optimism can lighten anyone’s mood. Although his impatience can get him into trouble, he knows that good things are worth waiting for.

Need somebody to get the job done, no questions asked? Find a Capricorn like Manon. Her ambition makes her absolutely fearless and she has the discipline to see her goals through. Capricorns don’t jump into things on a whim, just like Manon always thinks (sometimes even to a fault) before she acts. But when her mind is made, there’s no stopping her.

Okay, hear us out. We know that Feyre was born during the winter solstice (Sag and Cap season), but one could argue that Prythian’s calendar isn’t the same as ours. Based on Feyre’s artistic passions, innate curiosity, and compassion for others, Aquarius is a perfect fit. Since Aquarians are the final air sign, they are the most rebellious, innovative, and humanitarian of the bunch, which Feyre embodies throughout every challenge she faces. Besides, who else would sacrifice so much to save a completely different race besides a bleeding-heart Aquarian like Feyre?

Dorian is our dreamy, head in the clouds, Pisces. He cares deeply and unapologetically even when it may lead to heartbreak. Pisces is a mutable sign that effortlessly adapts to its surroundings, and Dorian is an expert in transformation. Even though he is constantly tempted by his escapist tendencies, his devotion to his loved ones always wins out.
