I’ll never forget how excited I was to move into my first apartment and set up my gold bar cart with my wine glasses and bottles of low-budget alcohol. It felt like a rite of passage as a young adult. I took so much pride in curating everything from the cocktail recipe books down to the adorable paper straws and swizzle sticks for guests. Things have changed quite a bit since then—I’ve traded my skinny jeans for straight legs and alcohol for coffee (except the occasional glass of wine).

It seems like I’m not the only one who’s making the shift away from their beloved bar cart and toward their morning cuppa. Pinterest recently reported a 1,125% increase in searches for “coffee bar styling,” leading the app to predict that 2024 will be the year of the at-home coffee station. And what better place to set up your coffee bar than the bar cart you may no longer have a need for? If you too are embracing your inner Lorelai Gilmore more than Carrie Bradshaw these days, read on for everything you’ll need to create the coffee cart of your dreams. No barista required.
